The structure of ZnO based transparent glass-ceramics prepared from glasses by controlled crystallization and optical ceramics uniaxial recrystallization hot pressing doped with rare-earth (RE) transition metal (TM) ions are compared. Regions structural inhomogeneity formed in during their casting, cooling annealing. Their composition depends on the type concentration TM RE determines difference phase assemblage glass-ceramics. In ceramics, do not enter crystals, but located surface form RE2O3 phase. fraction increases proportionally to ion doping level. multiphase materials.
